Ras Al Akhdar Tunnel Control System
The scope of work includes to develop a satellite tunnel control center in Ras Al Akhdar area which will house various ITS systems like SCADA, UTC, CCTV, VMS, Lane Control, OHVD, Incident Detection, Video wall, Access Control and Communication systems. Two tunnels of 700m and 540m length were equipped with all tunnel control and safety systems are integrated with SCADA system. Elmec along with their partners Siemens developed an Integrated Tunnel Control Center (ITCC) platform to control SCADA and UTC system from single system. Elmec has supplied and installed traffic signal controllers at 12 intersections in Ras Al Akhdar area for safe and efficient traffic operations along with UTC system SCALA. Installed more than 400 inductive loops and 150 push buttons for operating Semi Actuated and Adaptive signal plans in the area. We also designed and implemented a redundant communication network for all the ITS systems which enables them to communicate to Ras Al Akhdar Tunnel Control Center. Elmec was responsible to design and Implement adaptive traffic control method known as Method for the Optimization of Traffic signals In Online controlled Networks (MOTION). As part of project we operated and maintained the Tunnel Control Center for a tenure of three years and managed daily traffic operations.
SCOOT Adaptive System in Abu Dhabi City
The scope of work includes to upgrade the legacy UTC system and traffic controllers to PC SCOOT UTC system with ST950 controllers and integrating all satellite traffic control centers under proposed Siemens Sitraffic Concert Traffic Management System (TMS) within Traffic Management Center of Abu Dhabi. ELMEC has supplied and installed traffic signal controllers at 125 intersections of Abu Dhabi Main Island. Installed more than 4000 inductive loops for operating semi actuated, full vehicle actuated and adaptive signal plans in Abu Dhabi Island. Strategic detectors are installed at all intersections for keeping an eye on traffic situations in island. We also designed and implemented a Disaster Recovery (DR) system for emergency operations from Reem Island in case of any disaster at main TMC. Elmec was responsible to design and Implement adaptive traffic control method know as Split Cycle Offset Optimization Technique (SCOOT) at all the intersections. As part of the project we maintained the system for a tenure of one year.
Al Reem & Al Maryah Island SCOOT Adaptive System
We replaced 65 C900 controllers in this are to ST950 and integrated it with the PC SCOOT system in ADTMC. More than 300 magnetometers were installed as part of this project to allow the system to run in SCOOT adaptive traffic control. Elmec was responsible to design and Implement adaptive traffic control method know as Split Cycle Offset Optimization Technique (SCOOT) at all the intersections.
Yas Island Traffic Control Infrastructure Development
ELMEC has supplied and installed traffic signal controllers at 45 intersections in Yas Island for safe and efficient traffic operations. Installed more than 1500 inductive loops and 500 push buttons for operating semi actuated and full vehicle actuated signal plans in the area. Around 25 strategic detectors are installed in key entry and exit points for keeping an eye on traffic situations in island. We also designed and implemented a redundant communication network for all the traffic signals which enables them to communicate to UTC system Sitraffic SCALA. Elmec was responsible for design and Implement traffic responsive control method known as Traffic Actuated Signal plan Selection (TASS). As part of project we operated and maintained the Yas Traffic Control Center for a tenure of two years and managed traffic operations for Formula One and other Public events.
Al Reem Traffic Control Centre Development
The scope of work includes to develop a satellite traffic control center in Reem Island which houses various ITS systems like UTC, VMS, CCTV, TVR, Video wall, Access Control and Communication systems. Elmec has supplied and installed traffic signal controllers at 63 intersections in Al Reem Island including Shams, Sector 2&3 for safe and efficient traffic operations. Installed more than 1800 inductive loops and 250 push buttons for operating semi actuated and full vehicle actuated signal plans in the area. We also designed and implemented a redundant communication network for all the ITS systems which enables them to communicate to Reem Traffic Control Center. Elmec was responsible to design and implement adaptive traffic control method known as Method for the Optimization of Traffic signals In Online controlled Networks (MOTION). As part of project we operated and maintained the Reem Satellite Traffic Control Center for a tenure of two year and managed daily traffic operations.
Al Raha Traffic Control Centre Development
ELMEC has supplied and installed traffic signal controllers at 45 intersections in Al Raha for safe and efficient traffic operations. Installed more than 1200 inductive loops, and 400 push buttons for operating semi actuated and full vehicle actuated signal plans in the area. Two CCTV cameras per each intersection are installed to monitor traffic situation. We also designed and implemented a redundant communication network for all the traffic signals and CCTV which enables them to integrate with Yas Island Traffic Control Center. As part of project we operated and maintained the CCTV and Traffic signals for a tenure of one year and managed traffic for daily operations.
